How do roman shades work?

Designed by you, made by us ♥

Fabric category

The choice of face fabric is the most critical and individual decision when planning custom Roman shades, and it’s not just because the material will set the color and pattern of the finished product.

The fabric will also affect the shade’s translucency, as well as how easily it will operate and stack when retracted.

Plain, semi-plain or patterned fabrics can be used to coordinate or contrast with the colour scheme of your room.

Before choosing a fabric, always think about what the purpose of the novel will be.

Hide from the eyes of passers-by and have more privacy?

Darken the room in blind darkness, or just a little?

Therefore, choose the fabric according to your needs.

Please note: Silk fabric is not suitable for roller blinds.

A Roman shade can be raised and lowered with three types of manually controls.

• Left or right hand pull for all systems.

In or Outside?

One of the big questions when specifying Roman shades for a room is whether to mount them inside or outside the window frames.

This is largely based on the look you want to achieve, but potentially by how serious you are about reducing light leakage around the sides of the blind too.
